  • The third running of the Reckless Raven 50 Mile Ultra and Relay, June 30, 2019. Departing from the chalet at Mt. MacIntyre, solo and two-person relays travel a 51 mile course up, down and around Whitehorse, Yukon. Beyond the normal challenges of an ultra, Mother Nature threw in wildfire smoke and temperatures that peaked at 30 C.

Solo and two-person relay teams navigated the 50 mile course, crossing McIntyre Creek early on, ascending Haeckel Hill, crossed Sumanik Ridge, descended to Jackson Lake for the relay hand-off, scaled Knuckle Ridge, got in a little mountain biking (with no bike) on Starbucks Revenge and Blown Away, finally ending back at Mt McIntyre recreation centre.
