Aid station 1 at the intersection of Copper Haul and Fish Lake Roads. Runners spent the first section of the race running along trails possibly under the caws of ravens, before popping out on Copper Haul Road. After topping up at the aid station, the ascent of Haeckel Hill (it’s only a hill!) awaits.
